The Weihnachtsmarkt illuminates the downtown area of Bremen every December for four weeks. On the right side of the picture you can see part of the City Hall. "Earlier that day there was an attempt to break the world record in Christmas caroling," Tobi says. "Don't know whether it was successful, though."

World Wide Rave at Facebook HQ in Palo Alto, CA

"I stopped at a few cool places along the way," she says. "Facebook headquarters sits back from the street down by the train station. The lobby guards were very accommodating as I got a quick shot to update my Facebook profile." (Facebook is certainly an example of a company that has created a World Wide Rave!)

By the way, Jackie Ann Patterson started using her middle name as a result of hearing why I use mine. She says that she’s now at the top of Google for her full name and she's happy about that.

A World Wide Rave with the world famous star of The Art of the Sale

Tim Washer, the most talented corporate video producer I know, shot this photo of Bob Hoey, the star of IBM’s "mockumentary" series The Art of the Sale. Bob is not only a superb actor, but really is the vice president of worldwide sales for System Z, the IBM Mainframe. Tim is Bob's sidekick in the videos, the handsome man with the glasses.

With several hundred thousand views, The Art of the Sale is a World Wide Rave. Comedy Central selected the short film series as a "Staff Favorite," and it was cited in Forbes.com in January 2007 as the example of the "Jon Stewartizing" of corporate communications.

World Wide Rave at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, the Gateway of India

Prakash Dogra took this photo with his children Leisha and Prakarsh standing in front of the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel at the Gateway of India. Sadly, the hotel was made even more famous for the wrong reasons just a month before this was taken as it was the scene of a terrorist attack.

"My daughter Leisha is holding the poster and she loved doing this," Prakash says. "This view is one of the first views of the city if you come via the sea route.” Prakash told me that he prefers to refer to his city by its earlier name of Bombay. Here is his post about the photo.

World Wide Rave at Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada

Bruno Jarry, who took this beautiful photo, manages La Bonne Adresse Bed and Breakfast, located in St-Faustin's village in Quebec, Canada. The house, which was built in 1890 and was transformed into a B&B in 1994, opens directly onto Mont Tremblant Parc and is just a few minutes from linear park Le P'Tit Train du Nord.

Bruno says his children Chloe and Guillaume, representing the next generation, hope to live in a world where power and selfishness are replaced by higher values. Bruno recalls when he was a child and how easy it was to learn new ideas and tried to adapt and reach for new goals and new dreams as an adult.
